The Early Years Cross Country was a delightful display of determination and fun. A crowd of parents came along to watch the little ones stretch their athletic wings and circle the soggy track on Tuesday morning. Mud flinging up as they chased Mr Ware around the track didn’t stop the students from giving it their all – in fact, it will likely make it one of the more memorable sporting events for them!

There were a few falls, a few tears, a lost shoe or two, lots of  ‘am I done yet?’ faces, and some special moments marked with kindness when students held hands with their classmates to encourage them toward the finish line.

A crew of legendary parents put their hands up to participate in the novelty race to end the event, and the young crowd went wild as they cheered for the Mum’s and Dad’s. Scroll through the photos below to find the mother and daughter who both took home a blue ribbon!
