G.Y.M. (Godly Young Men) Club invites boys from Years 3-6 to get together on Thursday lunch-times. The boys come for fun and food but ultimately, the group gives them the opportunity to build stronger connections with their peers and interact with older student mentors. It gives a space for all types of boys to feel they belong.

Over the last few weeks, the boys have been working on a wood-working project, making a small cross and pondering what Jesus’ life as a carpenter might have entailed. They’ve sanded the wood, stuck it together, and this week spoke about living their lives on a firm foundation as they made the base of the cross. Year 12 prefects were amongst the group, coming on their own time to help the creative process and have encouraging chats with the boys.

To finish each week, the group gathers in a ‘holy huddle’ to pray for each other, their families, and the days ahead. The packet of chips as they run out the door is the cherry on top of a great time together!
