It was the night of nights for the Mueller sporting community on Tuesday evening with awards being presented for champions, MVP’s, most improved, district representation, outstanding teams, and the big one, Sportswoman and Sportsman of the year.
The evening kicked off with refreshments before the ceremony began with Mr Mancktelow laying out some sports awards history. We have come quite a long way from the first ceremony that was held outside and due to unforeseen gusts, had a Mueller mini-bus as the background because it needed to hold the screen in place!
This year we had Qld Firebirds captain, Kim Ravillion, and Western Bulldogs player, Adam Treloar, joined us to share their experience in elite sport. It was inspiring input for our young athletes.
The Sports Awards are unique in the way teammates and peers cheer for each other throughout the night, never more evident than when the big awards were announced. The winners were…
Primary Sportswoman – Teagan O’Friel
Primary Sportsman – Hudson Sturges
Junior Sportswoman – Isabelle Taylor
Junior Sportsman – Jase Wilkins
Senior Sportswoman – Trista Hockey
Senior Sportsman – Jamane Schokman
Congratulations to our students on an amazing year of sporting achievements!
