This year at Mueller College we have introduced the Secret Agent Society (SAS) program in an effort to further support the well-being of our students. The award-winning and evidence-based SAS Small Group Program has been improving the lives of 8-12 year olds around the world for more than a decade and was developed by Dr Renae Beaumont. It uses an online platform whereby cadets (students) log in both during group sessions and at home, learning important social and emotional skills. They are constantly challenged to undertake “missions” to practice these skills. Importantly, parents and teachers are included in the program to help reinforce the skills in their respective environments.

The aim of the program is to bring together parents, teachers and cadets to enhance and build upon the cadets’ skills needed for self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness and social management. Therefore helping cadets to:

  • Decode how they and others feel and act
  • Build their own formula for friendships
  • Cope with change
  • Solve social and emotional problems
  • Recognise and deal with bullying

We are tremendously proud of this year’s graduating cadets and grateful for the support given to them by their parents and teachers. We hope these skills continue to serve you well into the future and as one cadet put it, help you to move outside of your comfort zone. CONGRATULATIONS!!
