This week our new school counsellor, Ebony Harmer, was introduced to students at megaChapel during a special edition of ‘Show and Tell’ on the couch with Mr Langford. Ebony will be working closely with our existing counsellor, Anthony Ryan, and the Pastoral Care team to offer support to the Mueller community. We got to know her a little more this week…
What brought you to Mueller and what is your role?
I am passionate about seeing young people flourish and live to their full potential. I was drawn to the Christian culture and friendly environment here at Mueller and am very excited to join the pastoral care team as a school counsellor.
What was your favourite subject at school and which subject did you dread?
My favourite subject in school was a tie between home economics and biology! The subject I dreaded the most had to be maths!
If you could impart one message to your students what would it be?
Make great friends and take a little bit of time to enjoy the day-to-day chats, vents, and belly laughs.
What was your very first job?
My very first job was working at a bakery! At the end of the day, I got to take home anything that was left over!
Favourite beach?
My favourite beach is any beach on the Sunny Coast that isn’t too busy!
