Year 12 Biology students got practical last week with a walk to the school dam. The class used a quadrat (a square frame) to compare plant population density with varying light intensity in different locations in the bush area.
The outing was part of a unit that will be built upon when the students head to Coolum Beach next week for biology camp where they will modify the experience to create their own experiment.
