Senior Fashion students recently participated in a workshop with industry professional, Kim Bailey from Brisbane-based fashion label ‘East of Grey’.
The group gleaned from Kim’s inside knowledge from her time as a designer for brands like Billabong, and then later as an independent designer making bespoke pieces. Students learnt fashion illustration techniques and about how a fashion collection is developed, from inspiration to final garment.
After Kim’s demonstration, students practiced their illustration skills and plan to incorporate them into their upcoming assessment pieces.
