The Year 11 Legal Studies students had a day in Brisbane City visiting the Supreme Court of Queensland this week.

As part of their unit of study titled ‘Beyond All Reasonable Doubt,’ they got to get up close with the legal system and attend a court viewing. With no choice of what they would get to see, they were pleasantly surprised to end up watching a sentencing and part of a trial with cross-examined witnesses, a jury and the Chief Justice of Queensland presiding. It was a fantastic way to learn about legal procedures and court personnel.
