The Lacey Centre is pumping with excitement and bubbling energy on Tuesday afternoons with the Primary Basketball Classics kicking off. The program is a highlight on the Primary sporting calendar with 64 boys and girls from Years 3 and 4 coming along to be introduced to the sport. Over 25 Secondary students offer their afternoons to coach, encourage, guide, and referee the little players, making some firm connections in the process.
The Primary Classics were developed to provide Primary students with the opportunity to be introduced to the Secondary School academy sport of Basketball in a fun, challenging, and competitive environment. Students who sign up for the Primary Classics Basketball program are put into teams for training and gameplay each week.
Our hope is that it would be the start of a wonderful basketball journey!
