The brand new ICP Savannah S, Mueller Aviation’s new aircraft build, arrived at the end of last term all the way from Italy via Melbourne. The kit will create a 2 seater, 100 horse power, STOL (short take-off and landing) light aircraft that will be completed by students in just over 2 years’ time. The new project will be compatible with student skills, and the faster build time will mean many of our student builders will see it flying before they leave Mueller.
Many thanks to our build mentors, in particular Geoff for his generous donation of the kit, kit importer Peter from AeroKits Australia, Charlie for hand-delivering the kit, and the Mueller ground staff for doing the heavy lifting. It takes a team to build an aircraft!
The build team will begin the term studying the kit manual, and doing inventory as they unpack, before quickly getting hands on with the tools. How blessed is Mueller Aviation!
