Each week, Primary students have the opportunity to help others by giving an offering in Chapel. This year, their giving has been supporting an organisation called ‘Transform the Nations’ who have recently built a school in Nepal called ‘Promise Bilingual School’. Mueller students have long sponsored a student in Nepal named Kabita, who will now attend the school. Though it opened in April, they are still needing funds to fit out the classrooms with each room costing $1600.
Together, Primary Chapel was aiming to raise enough money to pay for one classroom, however, when the cause was shared in Chapel with visiting family at Grandparents Day, hearts were moved and enough money was given to pay for 2 full classrooms. Students have been so excited to learn they had exceeded all expectations!
We are now on our way to paying for a 3rd classroom and will continue to collect for this cause into Term 3. Thank you to all of those families who have caught the vision and have encouraged students to contribute.
