At the start of the holidays, a group of Senior students took a trip south for the Melbourne Arts Tour. The students representing Music; Drama; Art; Dance; and Film, TV & New Media visited markets and galleries, viewed world-class performances and, of course, ate a variety of delicious foods in what is Australia’s cultural capital. At Channel 10’s ‘The Project’, we got to sit in the studio audience, and one of our group even got to sit behind the desk and present to national TV!

Mr Blackmore, Mr Ratcliffe and Mrs Ratcliffe took the approach of guiding these young adults through the bustle of laneways and trams to show them how to safely navigate their way in a metropolis. We took this theme deeper. Mirroring this approach, the high-class artistic experiences were also contextualised through a lens of discernment and a biblical worldview. Our hope through this trip is to help produce young adults who are ready to navigate the pitfalls of culture, that in all things, they might learn to discern light from dark.
