Year 8 had a live demonstration of jousting on the oval to finish off a term where they explored medieval culture as part of Humanities Week. Students asked questions, got up close with the horses, and some even got to try on armour and joust at a knight!
After the jousting demo, Year 8 made their own displays highlighting a notable historical figure from the medieval or renaissance era. Secondary classes got to visit to see their costumes and do activities designed to engage and inform.
