In Year 10 Geography this term, students are studying how coastal environments change and how that change can affect the communities who reside around these coastlines. Last week, geography students journeyed to the Sandgate Foreshore to examine such a community and develop solutions to mitigate the problems they might face.
On their excursion, the students used specialised equipment to measure sea levels and predict future problems. They surveyed the coastal residences and proposed solutions to deal with the rising sea levels. They also spent time gathering data for a field report for their assessment this term.
