Year 8 students recently went on a Chinese excursion to test their newly acquired language skills. At school, the classes broke into groups and tested their direction words, navigating the campus with Chinese instructions in a scavenger hunt.
They then headed to Aspley for lunch at the Asian Oriental Restaurant, trying new dishes and immersing themselves in Chinese culinary culture. A quick stop to the Asian Supermarket to pick up some treats, before trying out some Chinese pastimes, like skipping, back at school.
