Some of our Senior dance students enjoyed a trip to the city last Friday night to see Bangarra Dance Theatre live at QPAC.

With many of them having finished their assessments for the term, it was a wonderful way to celebrate their learning for the past year and put into practice their dance analysis skills. Heading into South Bank early to share a meal together before walking over to the Playhouse, students were excitedly awaiting the performance.

The work ‘Yuldea’ explored the moment traditional life collided with the industrial ambition of a growing nation. It was an all-round spectacular performance, from dancing to costumes and lighting. Students were in awe of a number of sections, and lively discussion about the work occurred on the bus ride home, with many eager to share their thoughts and musings from the performance.
