The gallery and Arts Cube were bursting at the seams with colourful, expressive artworks at the recent Arts Festival. Senior students had been preparing their major art projects for months, putting them on display for friends and family to finally see. With everything from pottery to paint on canvas, walk-through installations, living pieces and integrated technology, there was something to catch the eye of every connoisseur.
Primary students had a preview of the art earlier in the day, wondering at the sometimes beautiful, sometimes confronting pieces as they walked through the space with mouths hung open. They then had their own opportunity to create some art together, sitting on the floor and drawing together.
