With backpacks they could fit in, huge hats, and bright shiny new shoes, the first of the 2024 Preps strode into a whole new world on Monday. For a few, the new reality of school was a little overwhelming but tears quickly turned into curiosity as they explored their new classroom and met new friends. Others strode in with confidence, ready to take on numbers, letters, and all of the unknown challenges ahead.
The first day was spent slowly learning their new routine, how to do ‘full body listening’, and navigating their way to important places like the toilet and playground. It was only 10 am when one little voice in class wistfully proclaimed ‘I’m tired’ to which the teacher replied ‘me too!’ We are happy to report they both made it through the day.
