A group of Year 6 students have brought ‘Buddy Club’ for Year 1 to life this year. Meeting once a week in the Primary courtyard, the older students plan fun activities for the little ones to enjoy over lunchtime.
When asked why they started it, the Year 6’s noted that the Year 1’s were in an enclosed playspace in Prep last year, and they wanted to help make the transition to the big playground a little easier by showing them they always have some bigger friends to count on. This week they did some chalk drawing on the concrete and played a spirited game of charades!
