On Friday our Senior music students attended an Opera Gala at QPAC concert hall. This marked the first live opera experience for many of them, where they had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the highlights of Puccini’s operatic masterpieces in one spectacular concert.
The students were treated to performances of Puccini’s renowned works including Madame Butterfly, La Bohème, and Tosca. They had the privilege of witnessing a comprehensive journey through Puccini’s compositional evolution, from his earliest works to his final masterpiece.
The event featured a captivating ensemble of three world-renowned opera singers, accompanied by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the powerful 80-member Voices of Birralee, providing a rich and unforgettable musical experience.
