Year 10 Drama students brought their best to the stage last week in their production of Grimm Tales. The class were divided into groups and tasked with creating their own interpretation of traditional fairy tales using physical theatre techniques. On a background of a simple set, they used dramatic movement and theatrical sounds, all while building character and narrative. Audiences experienced The Little Match Girl, Hansel & Gretel, Rapunzel, and The Robber Bridegroom in a way they’d never seen before.

Prior to the show, the Year 10 Hospitality students provided a fairy-tale themed feast complete with ‘poison’ apples, hearty broth, colourful mocktails, and a fanciful gingerbread house that was ceremonially smashed by Mr Blackmore. Well done Year 10 on a fantastic evening!
