Year 3 had a visit from local artist, Mariah Sweetman, this week to learn about Indigenous art. The whole year level gathered for a hands-on lesson with each student getting to follow the step-by-step instructions to create their own interpretation of Mrs Sweetman’s work titled ‘Resting Place’. They first learned about the symbolisation before creating their own life source representing God, running waters flowing from it, the gathering of loved ones, and their connection to each other.
