Senior Arts students were invited to expand their cultural wings with a trip to what is commonly known as the cultural capital of Australia. The group braved the cold in Melbourne to visit the laneways, Lygon St, and Queen Victoria market and took a ‘history and doughnut’ tour of the city.

They went to the theatre to see shows Sunset Boulevard, The Odd Couple, and musical mega-hit Wicked, and sampled Korean BBQ, Mexican, Italian food in between. The National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne Museum, and the Australian Centre for Moving Image inspired the visual artists.  Sitting in the studio audience for Channel 10’s ‘The Project’ was an exciting experience, made even more so when Mr Blackmore was chosen to feature in an audience spot. Take a look at his efforts below – we may lose him to the silver screen yet!
