Congratulations to the Mueller Basketball Academy Open Girls on their recent success in the Molten Champion Basketball Schools Queensland Tournament, winning the Division 2 State Championship!

The girls finished at the top of their pool before defeating the Dakabin Dragons in a pool crossover game to progress to the quarterfinals. After beating the Calamvale Wolves in a hotly contested quarterfinal, the girls met and defeated pool rivals All Hallows in the semi-final.

From there, the girls battled against St. James College in a tough, physical grand final, ultimately defeating “Jimmy’s” 63-54 to claim the State Championship.

This is an incredible achievement and a first in Mueller Sport history!

One of the MBA goals is to be a top 20 QLD school basketball program. With this victory, the Open Girls have secured a rank of 13th in the state while guaranteeing the opportunity to compete in Division 1 in 2025.
