Select students in Years 3-8 competed in teams as part of the Engineering Challenge this term. Over several weeks, students had to design and build a device that could lift a juice box a meter into the air and then place it safely on a shelf, all within a $50 budget.

Teams then met for a final presentation where they demonstrated their apparatus to their peers and a panel of judges, and then explained their design process, unpacking its’ successes and failures.

The winners in the Primary competition were Levi Tibben, Amisha Subba, Emelia Gumpert, Emily Chester-Kahler  & Alex Butler. The Winners in the Secondary competition were Bo Osborn, Ha Min Choi, Samuel Weaver & Evangeline Gumpert. Well done teams!
