Fallyn Kelly

Over the weekend, Year 10 student, Fallyn Kelly, was crowned #1 in Australia in Junior Girls Pickleball at the PPA Pickleball Tour.
Fallyn has been a keen tennis player and decided to take up pickleball earlier this year for fun. She is now training and playing several times a week, and working with a coach to hone her skills. Earlier this year she competed at the Gold Coast PBA winning a bronze in co-ed doubles and gold in the Junior Girls singles. She then went on to the APC competition, one of the biggest in Australia, and took silver in the under-18’s girls singles comp. She’s aiming to take on sponsorship and take her pickleball achievements to the stratosphere! Good on you Fallyn!

Aliyah Hionis

Year 9 student, Aliyah, recently competed at the State Athletics All Schools championships. Despite facing challenging weather conditions, and being stretched to use different equipment mid-competition, Aliyah came third in pole vault, qualifying her for nationals in December. She also put in a good showing in a number of other disciplines, coming 7th in long jump and triple jump, and 8th in 90m hurdles. An amazing achievement Aliyah!

Teagan O’Friel

Year 8 sportswoman Teagan recently backed up her Gold medal showing at the QRSS States with another win at the 2024 QLD All Schools Champs in the pole vault. Teagan even took out the meet record with an impressive 2.4m clearance! She’s now qualified for All Schools Nationals in early December, joining Aliyah at the comp. We’ll be cheering you on girls!
