Year 3 had a visit from local artist, Mariah Sweetman, last week to learn about Indigenous art. The whole year level gathered for a hands-on lesson with each student getting to follow the step-by-step instructions to create their own piece of art. They first learned about the symbolism, using it to personalise their work, depicting the life source representing God, running waters flowing from it, the gathering of loved ones, and their connection to each other.
