The Night with the Mueller Musicians was a beautiful celebration of the talent of our students and the hours of practice put in behind the scenes. There were 217 students involved in the evening, performing in bands, strings, choirs and vocal groups.
We saw a delightful variety of instruments played from the double bass and timpani drum, to the surprise appearance of a melodica. Voices from Year 1 all the way through to Year 12 entertained with songs like ‘Never Smile at a Crocodile’, ‘Sky Full of Stars’, and ‘Milk and Honey’. The Jazz Band had every toe tapping with ‘New York New York’, and the stage band blew us away with ‘The Incredibles’ arranged by Year 12 student, Kaelan Bartlett.
Mrs Riek and Miss Schmidt honoured the dedication of some of the Year 12 students who have put heart and soul into music throughout their schooling, helping to guide younger musicians and shape a thriving music culture while also anchoring the programs with their high level of skill.
The evening concluded with the biggest musical ensemble we’ve ever had, with over 100 students collaborating to perform ‘It is Well’ singing…
