Last week, two teams of Secondary students attended the Readers Cup. The Readers Cup is a great way for passionate readers to work with like-minded peers and get involved in a competitive team environment.
The students have been prepping for the competition throughout the term, reading novels and discussing them together. They had to run their own ‘book club,’ where they discussed the novels each week, strategised, designed practice questions to quiz each other on and worked to understand the novels deeply. Although they didn’t win, they displayed great teamwork, and it was a positive experience for all.
