Introducing Year 6 student, Lily Rosetto, as ‘Anna’! Lily will play the slightly dishevelled, but always determined, Princess who discovers her sister’s ice powers and what true love really means.
We had a chat to her about her experience so far.
Have you done musicals before?
Lily: Yes, I did The Lion King and Madagascar.
What have you been doing to prepare for your role?
Lily: Mainly doing practice at home with Mum. I sing each song two times, then I go through half of my script. The next day, I go through the second half of my script.
What is your favourite thing about being part of the musical?
Lily: My favourite thing is the fun, because once I’m on stage, I love it. It just excites me! I love being in a production that you’ve seen in a movie, and you can recreate it in different ways.
Why should people come to see it?
Lily: It’s a really good quality musical and I feel like it’s QPAC level…it’s really good! The staging and directors are great because they always know what to do.
Who are you most excited to have come and watch you perform?
Lily: Mainly my parents, because my mum asks me about the musical and I tell her, ‘I can’t tell you, you have to wait and find out!’. I’m also excited for my grandma to come because she’s been cheering me on as well.
What are you most excited about in the actual performance?
Lily: I like preparing for it. Before anyone is in the auditorium and you’re backstage and getting makeup done and getting into your costume – that’s really fun! I love being on stage and looking out to see total black, and you don’t actually know if anyone is out there. And I love having fun with my friends!
