We’ve been celebrating the Humanities over the last couple of weeks at Mueller, and last week saw a fierce race for the title of Principal for a Day. The Sherlock & Watson Party, the Caesar Party and the Dad Life Party made their first appearances at assembly to pitch their ideas and campaign for votes.
On Thursday, the polls were opened, and voters were rewarded with a sausage sizzle. Candidates shmoozed the voting lines, trying to swing the vote their way. The Caesar Party couldn’t quite get it over the line with their pitch that all students could wear Roman headwear for a day, and the Dad Life team’s promise of a three-minute school-wide pause to admire the lawn didn’t cut it either. It was the Sherlock & Watson Party’s promise of a day wearing a non-uniform hoodie with some special drinks at Breakfast Club that secured the win.
