Beanies for Brain Cancer Week kicked off on Monday with plenty of students leaning in to support the cause. Each beanie purchase also buys 3 votes to be put towards nominating teachers to face the icy slide in The Big Chill on Friday!
Assemblies were used to sensitively educate students about the real effects of brain cancer and the heart behind the week’s events as we honour past student, Asher. And then, some fun with a game of ‘Chick-curling’, where frozen chickens were hurled across the stage in a bid for victory. The Year 7’s took out the Secondary comp, and the Red classes won for Primaries, with those classes scoring themselves an iceblock.
