Our amazing library staff and teaching team will be putting together an exciting week of activities next week to celebrate BOOK WEEK.
Book Week will be celebrated next week (21-25 August). The theme for the week is Book an Adventure, with different adventures every day in the library. Check out the program below to see what’s happening!
Primary students will have the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book character or something related to the theme. The Parade will take place in the Lacey Sports Centre on Tuesday 19th of August, starting at 9.00 am. You are welcome to join us at the parade on the Tuesday morning. This is for fun and engagement in reading, so there will not be individual prizes for costumes as this is not to add stress to busy households. It’s all about the fun and love of stories! Appropriate closed-in footwear must be worn, as well as clothes of an appropriate nature that safely allow students to participate in school activities.
There are already some optional activities on the go in the library. See the details for the bookmark and postcard competitions below and don’t forget to get your entries in by THIS Friday.
Please note that students won’t be borrowing from the library during their lessons in Book Week because their time will be jam-packed with activities! Borrowing is still available before and after school.
