Last week, some of our middle school music students took their instruments next door to the Peninsula Palms Retirement Village to play a concert for the residents. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to perform pieces they’ve been working on as soloists and in duets, while also bringing some entertainment to the morning tea gathering.
They were warmly received, with residents reflecting on the blessing of having the opportunity to learn an instrument in their youth. Students really felt the appreciation when they left with a couple of bags of Freddo Frogs for their efforts!
