One of the hallmarks of Mueller College is the vibrant community that it is. Within the whole school community, there exist numerous smaller ‘sub’ communities where students who share similar passions, talents and pursuits can readily connect and work together. These ‘sub’ communities serve as powerful environments for positive change in the lives of the individuals in them. Students are able to find support, receive encouragement, be kept accountable, find belonging, and experience personal and spiritual growth while fine-tuning their skills. These resulting outcomes are often achieved through their participation, service and contribution.
As a Christian community, we also believe these experiences and the resulting outcomes ultimately reflect God’s love and purpose for all humanity.
All these ‘sub’ communities function within the larger community that is Mueller College, contributing to and serving the wider community and it’s people by demonstrating love and service, being a positive witness to the transformative power of Christ’s love and forgiveness, being agents of change, addressing social issues and working towards a more just and equitable world, and demonstrating how believers can love and support one another despite their differences.
Last week at Mueller was Beanies for Brain Cancer week. Amidst the crazy assembly games, basketball match and Big Chill event, students participated and contributed to raise awareness and funds to further research and treatment for those who suffer from the prevalent disease that is Brain Cancer. It was yet another demonstration of a thriving community working together to reflect God’s love and purpose for all humanity.
