Last week, the Year 10 Music students were captivated by the outstanding performance of the “Australian Army Big Band” at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre. The band showcased a range of jazz standards made famous by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, as well as iconic Australian acts including Crowded House, Christine Anu, Sia, and concluded with a powerful rendition of a John Farnham classic. Each student also had the opportunity to witness impressive solos from every instrument in the big band setup, offering a unique insight into the skill and versatility of the ensemble.
