Year 2 set off on an adventure into the city to the oldest house in Brisbane last week. The students loved playing olden day games, learning manners and doing the washing at Newstead House! Their eyes were wide as they discovered what life was like in the servants’ quarters, compared olden day items to what we use today and discovered what herbs were used for cooking, cleaning and washing.
