The Year 10 Business and Accounting students had an exciting practical task this term. The classes were divided into groups that had to design a product to retail to customers. The students spent weeks conducting surveys, planning products, taking orders, sourcing suppliers, and finally, creating the milkshakes and frappes.
The group had a huge influx of orders, with 605 rolling in! The most popular drinks were the Triple Temptation with 108 ordered and the Sunset Burst with 110 for their group to make! The class used 84L of milk, 172 litres of ice cream and ran out of whipped cream after they went through 24 cans!
There were fruity concoctions and chocolatey creations putting smiles on faces when students picked up their fancy drinks. The brightly coloured blue drink left its trace everywhere, including many sets of teeth. The Business students were working double-time to keep up with the orders and keep the frenzied customers happy.
The students made over $4900 in total revenue, with profits helping support the Nepal Mission Trip. Well done to the class on a very successful project!
