Last weekend, 18 excited Mueller students from Years 7–11 set off bright and early for the annual Junior Anglers Fishing Competition on Moreton Island, accompanied by Mrs Holden, Ms Wouters, Mrs Garlick, and Mr Rule.
After leaving school at 6:30am, the group boarded the Micat Ferry from the Port of Brisbane. The crossing was a little rough thanks to a strong northerly breeze, but it only added to the sense of adventure!
Once on the island, students spent the day developing their fishing skills—learning how to rig, bait, and cast, while experimenting with different methods and techniques. It was a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun in the great outdoors.
A special congratulations goes to Noah Buckland, who placed 2nd, and John Ford, who placed 3rd in the Under 14s category—an outstanding achievement!
