Multicultural Day is an opportunity for Primary students to recognise and celebrate their family stories, cultures and communities. Many jumped at the chance to wear outfits reflecting a country of significance to them, donning hanbok, sarees, kilts and all flavours of national sports jerseys.
Assembly began with the Lord’s Prayer beautifully prayed in Afrikaans, Punjabi and Igbo. Mrs Jordaan put students to the test with some international trivia, and the Primaries got to see the tapestry of nationalities represented in the room. The cultural dance of the Cook Islands performed by our very own Primary students was a highlight, met with much applause and many a charmed smile.
Primaries finished off with a parade around MPAC, dancing and celebrating multicultural Mueller!
