The Year 11 Accounting students participated in the BEAQ 2025 CPA Accounting Challenge on Thursday 16th October under supervised conditions during class. Students have 40 minutes to complete the Challenge questions. The Business Educators Association of Queensland administers the challenge with technical support and supervision from the Accounting teacher at each school.
Questions (and answer options) are randomised for each user and include content from both the Year 11 and Year 12 Accounting syllabus, which made it additionally challenging for the Year 11 students, although a brief tutorial on the Year 12 syllabus had been available to the students. Prize money is awarded for students that achieve 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Queensland schools.
So, it is a great delight that we announce Mueller College Yr 11 student Jesse George has attained 3rd place in Queensland for the BEAQ 2025 CPA Accounting Challenge!
Congratulations to Jesse on his wonderful achievement! Jesse’s certificate was awarded during secondary assembly on Monday, and he is eagerly anticipating the prize to be issued soon from BEAQ . Well done Jesse and all the best to the Year 11 Accounting class who all participated, as they continue the Year 12 Accounting coursework for the remainder of Term 4!
