It’s time for two of our favourite teachers to say goodbye to Mueller as they enter the brand new season of retirement.
Gillian Flett has been at school for several years, teaching our Primaries all things Chinese. Students will never forget learning language through her songs, singing Chinese phrases to catchy tunes that will stay with them for years to come! Trying on some traditional Chinese outfits and learning about cultural traditions was a favourite, brought to life by Miss Flett’s extensive experience living in China. We will miss hearing her trusty classroom microphone and her passion for helping students step across a cultural bridge to experience something new.

Keith Dean is one of our longest-serving staff members, having taught in the Industrial Technology department (or Manual Arts as it was called when he began) for over 30 years. He has encouraged generations of students to work with their hands and initiated hundreds of woodworking projects that may still be proudly displayed on past students’ shelves at home today. His impact extends well beyond the workshop, as he has shared his faith over the years, particularly connecting with students and staff alike around the fire at boys’ camps. And while he usually quietly sticks to the borders of the Industrial sheds, he’s always up for a gag for the sake of a good cause or a good laugh, and takes to the MPAC stage or the Big Chill pool in a tradie singlet with ease!
We’re praying retirement brings you some well-earned rest, special family time, and amazing days on the beach. Mueller won’t be the same without you Mr Dean.
