Last weekend 14 members of Mueller’s Senior Volleyball Academy teams attended the Australian Super League Men’s and Women’s Gold Medal matches played at South Pine Sports Complex, Brendale. The final weekend of the 2025 Volleyball Super League season saw Perth Steel defeat Adelaide Storm in five thrilling sets in the Women’s Gold medal match, and the Brisbane Pirates go back-to-back beating Perth Steel in the men’s showcase game.
Our academy players were the volunteers for the event, fulfilling their duties in front of around a thousand parochial spectators. Their roles included being ball boys and ball girls, holding up Power Play signs during sets, and cleaning the courts between points. They certainly had the best seats in the house, being either courtside or on court all afternoon.
Well done to all our volunteer students. They represented Mueller well while gaining valuable experience from watching some of Australia’s best volleyballers in action.
