This week, Year 7 experienced a cosmodome, which is essentially a planetarium that comes to you. The students are studying a unit on Earth and Space, and the cosmodome demonstrates how the sun, Earth, and moon interact. They observe how tides occur, seasons cycle, eclipses appear, and how lunar cycles unfold.
This year’s show concluded with a presentation about the first landing on the moon, challenging students to consider the various jobs in the industry that could lead to involvement in space. The students were inspired, spontaneously breaking into applause at the end of it!
