Queensland School Library Week is running from Monday the 9th of February until Friday the 13th of February 2026. To celebrate, students have the opportunity to participate in Primary and Secondary competitions. Winners will each receive a $50 book voucher and the school will receive a $100 book voucher.
Entries will be accepted from Monday 9 February until Thursday 26 February.
PRIMARY COMPETITION
The Primary competition has two categories, Prep – Year 2 and Year 3 – Year 6.
Prep – Year 2: What is your favourite story? Draw or paint a picture to illustrate this. Your picture should be on an A4 sheet. Add a caption if you like.
Year 3 – Year 6: The theme is ‘Light the Way’. Produce an artwork to reflect the theme ‘Light the Way’.
SECONDARY COMPETITION
Secondary students (Year 7 – Year 12): Produce an artwork or take a photograph to reflect the theme ‘Light the Way’.

Each school may submit one entry for each category and each entry must be accompanied with an Authority to Publish form. (Click button below)
Entries need to be given to a Mrs Richens by Thursday the 26th of February. The Library Team will pick a winner for each category and then submit them to the competition. We can’t wait to see your creations!
