Children’s prayers often remind us just how honest and refreshing conversations with God can be. “Dear God, thank You for the baby brother, but what I really prayed for was a puppy.” Their words make us smile, but they also reveal something profound. Children instinctively understand that they are speaking to someone who loves them and hears them.

As we engage with Prayer Week,  we are excited to invite families and the entire community to intentionally set aside time to seek God and hear from Him together in prayer. Prayer is an amazing gift, a direct line of communication with our loving Saviour and creator God.

Philippians 4:6 reminds us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”. What a comfort to know that we can talk to God about anything – big worries, small concerns and with a thankful heart.

Throughout the week, students will spend time praying in their classrooms, going on the prayer walk, praying for others, and growing in their understanding that God cares deeply about every detail of their lives. We encourage you to continue these conversations at home, creating time for your children to speak openly with their Heavenly Father and to grow in confidence that He listens, cares, and responds with perfect love.
