Prayer Week has become a foundational marker in the culture of Mueller and the spiritual formation of students. Between Tuesday and Thursday, almost every student from Prep to Year 12 will have spent time in contemplative prayer in the prayer walk, or in worship and group prayer in ‘the Sanctuary’.
The prayer walk is created by students and staff with a course of stations designed to prompt us to prayers of petition, confession, intercession, adoration and praise. Already, the walls are filled with wholehearted prayers for loved ones, teachers, friends, and even family pets.
‘The Sanctuary’ draws students into a time of worship, with a short message from various senior students to help focus, and prayer together in small groups. On Tuesday, Primaries were invited to open their hands and bring their hardships to Jesus, and Secondaries were challenged to be like the biblical poplar tree, always connected to the Living Water.
