Year 9 leaders visited the Year 7 classrooms last week for devotions as the classes prepared for their first Secondary camp. They spoke to the theme of the camp, encouraging the students to approach it, and their wider life journey, with an ‘attitude of gratitude’.
The Year 9’s illustrated their point by filling a cup to overflowing, sharing that when they mindfully took stock of the blessings they encounter every day, they could recognise they experience a ‘cup overflowing’ kind of life, even in the face of challenges. They then prayed for the Year 7’s who have now ventured off to camp this week. Let’s pray with them that it’s a ‘cup overflowing’ kind of camp!
