There is a veritable stampede of Primary girls rushing to lunchtime club ‘Flourish’ every Monday. Sure – some of the excitement can be attributed to the free chips (!), but they also come for the games, time with the ‘big girl’ Secondary leaders, and a purposeful moment learning how drawing close to Jesus will help them flourish in life.
This week, they talked about David and Goliath. Leaders shared how David found himself in a battle with no weapons, and the girls shared about times they have felt out of their depth, but God has brought them through. They finished by praying together and ran back to their classrooms with even more enthusiasm than when they came!
