Earlier this term, two Mueller teams travelled to Coolangatta Beach to compete at the 2026 Queensland Schools Beach Volleyball Cup. Beach Schools Cup is an annual, two-day beach volleyball competition that brings together high school students from across Far North Queensland to South East Queensland, creating an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their volleyball skills in a unique beach setting. Over 50 courts were set up to facilitate over 330 teams from over 45 schools.

Addison Hecke and Emmily Ho completed in the Open Girls Division Two draw, and Daniel Reiske and Eli Peacock in the Open Boys Division Two draw.

Day one saw both pairs play fantastic volleyball to win all their games and finish top of their respective pools. This set up the chance for both of them to reach the Gold medal matches on Day Two. Day Two saw both teams just fall short in their qualifying matches, and then Bronze medal matches to finish 4^th. This is an epic result being the first time competing on sand for most of them.

Both pairs can be super proud of their results and efforts in representing Mueller on such a massive volleyball stage.

We are excited to celebrate Amber’s fantastic efforts at the Regional Swimming Carnival held earlier this term at Sunshine Coast Grammar College.

Amber swam her fastest time ever in the 50m Backstroke – an incredible personal achievement and a testament to her hard work and dedication. While she was understandably a little disappointed not to progress to the State level this time, her determination and positive attitude were truly impressive.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Saffron Favios achieved an outstanding result at this year’s Christian Schools Sporting Association Queensland (CSSAQ) Swimming Carnival.

Competing in the 16‑year‑old girls division, Saffron delivered an exceptional performance and secured 1st place in her event!

This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Saffron’s hard work, determination, and dedication to her sport. Congratulations, Saffron!

Congratulations to Year 10 student Levi Rossetto who recently got accepted into the Q Youth Academy as a referee. This is a talent pathway within touch football designed to support the next generation of players, coaches, and referees across the state. Well done Levi! You are paving the way for future referees within our school program, and we are also thankful for what you add to our player development with your high-level refereeing.
